The muskellunge — or "musky" — is the apex predator of North American freshwater and the largest member of the pike family. Known as "the fish of 10,000 casts," musky are notoriously difficult to catch, which is precisely why trophy musky hunters travel the world to pursue them. Their size, rarity, and explosive fighting ability make them the ultimate freshwater trophy fish.

Large fish (walleye, suckers, bass), ducks, muskrats, and small mammals. Primarily a fish-eater.
